Hello, MedTech Leaders!
Every week I have conversations with companies trying to answer the same question: How do we know we’re making the right strategic bets?
I’m excited to begin sharing a monthly newsletter featuring patterns I’m seeing, mistakes that slow innovation, and practical ideas to help teams move from bold concepts to investable growth strategies.
We’re starting with The Missing Voices Problem.
Great MedTech concepts rarely fail because they’re bad ideas.
They fail because they’re built on incomplete perspectives.
A concept shaped primarily by physician input may overlook economic buyers. A product designed around technical capability may ignore workflow realities. A compelling clinical story can quickly unravel when a value committee asks, “Where’s the evidence?”
These gaps may seem small, but together they create risk that compounds over time—especially when decisions involve multimillion-dollar investments.
The strongest strategies aren’t built from a single point of view. They reflect the voices of everyone who influences success: clinicians, economic decision-makers, operations, regulators, competitors, and your own business objectives.
The most successful teams don’t wait for these gaps to surface downstream. They intentionally bring the right voices into the conversation early, when insights can shape decisions instead of forcing course corrections later.
So here’s a question to consider:
Which voices are shaping your strategy—and which ones might still be missing?
I’d love to hear your thoughts.
